sponsored by the Nebraska Wind Working Group (NWWG), a state and federal
partnership funded by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and the U.S. Department
of Energy’s Wind Powering America to help develop the state’s wind resources.
The NWWG is
headed up by Senator Cap Dierks, former Senator Don
Preister, and Nebraska Farmers Union President John
Hansen. “If you are interested in wind
energy development or issues, you need to come to this outstanding two day
Conference in Kearney,”
said Sen. Dierks.
“Whatever
your interest in wind energy is, our program likely covers it,” said Don Preister.
“The workshops will provide participants the opportunity to ask the speakers
questions, and we have structured the Conference so that people from a wide
range of interests and perspectives will have the opportunity to socialize and
exchange ideas.”
John Hansen
concluded, “In addition to information sharing, we hope Nebraska wind energy stakeholders will have
the chance to get acquainted and share ideas on how to help move our state
forward with wind energy development. Top
to bottom, we have an outstanding set of presenters and speakers on a wide
range of wind related topics. We
anticipate a lot of interest and participation, so please register for the conference
and also at the Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn, or Wingate Inn as soon as possible.”
