APRIL
10 - EPA Region 7 Spring Round Table at Henry Doorly Zoo. NEFU will offer presentations on the Carbon Credit Program and Wind Energy at this all day event. NEFU presentation is at 2:30pm.
26 - NEFU Sponsors the Scott Kleeb/Tony Raimondo Debate at the State Theatre, 1415 O Street, in Lincoln, NE. The debate starts at 1:00pm and will run for 1 hour. The debate will be in honor of former Senator JJ Exon and will be broadcast on KLKN Channel 8 of Lincoln and will also be broadcast by radio on KRVN. Attendance to the debate is FREE. Doors will be open at 12:45 on a first come, first serve basis. There is a reception prior to the event to meet both candidates at 12:00. Admission to the reception is $40. NEFU encourages you to come watch the debate!
29 - Crofton Hills Wind Project Groundbreaking, Bloomfield, NE. The groundbreaking and ceremony for the collaborative C-BED project effort will take place at the Bloomfield, NE area. Call the NEFU Office for more details.
MAY
7-8 - Ownership Matters: Communtiy-Based Wind Development in Colorado. NEFU Public Affairs Director will be on a panel and give a short presentation in Lamar, CO on May 7th & Wray, CO May 8th on the 'Nebraska Community-Based Energy Development experience.'
13 - NFU Carbon Summitt, Jamestown, ND
15 - Presentation on Wind/Carbon to South Central RC&D Council in Chapman at 10:00am.
19 - Presentation on Wind/Carbon to Northeast Nebraska RC&D. It will be at the RC&D office in Plainview at 7:30pm.
21 - UNL Climate Change Conference at Sandhills Convention Center in North Platte. NEFU will be at the all day conference. This event is open to the public but you must register soon. For more info go to http://research.unl.edu/events/climatechange2008/conference.
